Measures 1.20" dia x .17" thick; weighs 5.6 gm. Available in yellow only. The High Performance Tag utilizes the Half Duplex (HDX) Protocol. 840 EID TAG

“840” or Official AIN (Animal Identification
Number) Tags comply with the requirements
of the National Animal Identifi cation System
as both a visual identifi er and a supplemental
identifi cation device (using ISO-compliant
electronic ID). 840 designates USA-origin
livestock. The NAIS is a voluntary, cooperative
Federal-State-industry program, providing
a standardization information system for
Federal and State animal-health authorities
to use in responding to animal-disease events
in the United States.
Before purchasing 840 Tags, producers must
fi rst register their premises & obtain a premises
identifi cation number (PIN) from their state animal
health authority. A database record of specifi c
840 Tags distributed to each premise is maintained,
so producers should not share or make
their 840 Tags available to other producers. The
840 Tags may be applied at the producer’s convenience
and at the time most suitable for the
operation, but before the animal leaves their premise.
Complete with Male Studs. Apply with Allflex
Universal Total Tagger and Blunt Pin.
